Application Process How we guide you through each stage
- How to Apply / Travel to Malaysia
- Step 1 — Check Visa Requirement
- First verify the applicant's nationality and purpose of travel on the Malaysian Immigration website. Malaysia's visa requirements differ by nationality.
- For Indian tourists, the current visa exemption is applicable until 31 December 2026.
- Step 2 — Prepare Travel Documents
- Keep ready:
- Passport + Return Ticket + Hotel Booking + Financial Proof + Travel Itinerary + Employment/Business Proof
- Even when a visa is not required, these documents can help demonstrate the genuine purpose of the trip and ability to support the stay.
- Step 3 — Complete MDAC
- Travellers should complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) through the official Malaysian Immigration system before arrival.
- Official Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)
- Step 4 — Travel to Malaysia
- Carry your passport and supporting documents when travelling. Immigration may ask for:
- • Return/onward ticket
- • Accommodation details
- • Proof of sufficient funds

- 🛂 If a Visa Is Required

The official eVISA system requires documents such as a passport biodata page, passport photograph, accommodation proof and, where applicable, return ticket and other supporting documents.
- Official Malaysia MyVISA Portal
- Note: Malaysia Immigration announced on 2 September 2026 that the Multiple Entry Visa (MEV) will no longer be available for all nationalities, so current visa rules should be checked before submitting an application.

Important Notes Before you apply
- Important Notes Before Applying for a Malaysia Tourist Visa
- For Indian passport holders: Malaysia currently allows visa-free entry for up to 30 days for tourism until 31 December 2026. Therefore, eligible Indian tourists generally do not need to apply for a separate tourist visa during this period.
- ⚠️ Important Points
- Check visa eligibility first — Visa requirements depend on nationality. Always verify the latest Malaysian Immigration rules before applying.
- Passport validity — Ensure your passport has sufficient validity, preferably at least 6 months from the intended date of entry.
- Genuine travel purpose — Your itinerary should clearly show that the visit is for tourism and that you intend to return after the trip.
- Return flight ticket — Keep a confirmed return/onward ticket available.
- Hotel booking — Carry confirmed accommodation details covering your entire stay.
- Financial proof — Maintain adequate funds and supporting bank statements to demonstrate that you can comfortably finance your trip.
- Employment/business proof — Salaried applicants should keep employment and leave documents. Business owners should keep relevant business registration and financial documents.
- MDAC is important — Foreign visitors generally need to complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) before arrival, subject to the listed exemptions.
- Don't submit inconsistent documents — Passport details, travel dates, hotel booking, flight booking, itinerary and financial documents should all match.
- Visa approval does not automatically guarantee entry — Malaysian immigration authorities make the final decision at the point of entry.
- Avoid unnecessary bookings before checking requirements — First confirm whether your nationality actually requires a visa. For Indian citizens, the current visa-free arrangement means a normal short tourist trip does not require an eVisa.
- Use only the official eVisa portal if a visa is required for the traveller's nationality. Malaysia's official MyVISA portal is available through Malaysian Immigration.
- ✅ Recommended Travel File
- Passport + Return Ticket + Hotel Booking + Travel Itinerary + Bank Statement + ITR/Income Proof + Employment/Business Proof + MDAC Confirmation
- Consultancy note: For an Indian applicant travelling to Malaysia for a short holiday in 2026, it is more accurate to describe the service as “Malaysia Tourist Visit – Visa-Free Entry” rather than “Malaysia Tourist Visa,” provided the traveler meets the current exemption conditions.
Visa issuance is the sole responsibility of the embassy or consulate. We provides consultation and filing support only; fees shown are starting prices for our services and exclude official government charges unless stated.
